Research Articles: These articles either summarize, arrange, and draw conclusions about a subject of research, or they are reviews of the writers' own original research. With the bibliography included, they should be longer than 2000 words, and tables and figures are encouraged.

Papers/Essays: Similar to research articles, though can be grounded in fields other than research. Written assignments for classes are also encouraged. They should be longer than 600 words.

Thesis Chapters: Excerpts from honors theses submitted to departmental or interdisciplinary honors programs. All references in an extract have to be completely documented. They should be longer than 800 words.

Book Reviews: Reviews of books that are relevant to STS. Book reviews should provide general information about the book, its relevance to STS, and opinions on its substance.These reviews are designed to be a useful resource for our target audience of students in this discipline. They should be longer than 800 words.

Editorials: Opinion-oriented works that express a viewpoint on STS concerns (usually less research-intensive than articles). They should be longer than 600 words.

Interviews/Debates: Edited transcript of interview or debate with expert in STS about an STS-related issue. Should include a short bio of the interviewee or debaters, including name, title, position, research/focus area, and other relevant information.

Multimedia: Design-intensive works (e.g., movies, websites, user interfaces, technology design initiatives) , and should include an explanation of the development process and its relation to STS.

Explanatory Texts: Introduce the reader to STS-related information, such as a special or general explanation of the discipline's primary study goals, historical people, research problems, and representative situations. It ought to have more than 600 words.

Articles should be submitted in PDF or Word format, using Times New Roman, font size 12.
